A successful CEO has a very different leadership style. This may include communications skills, feedback, conflict management and his personality. Hastings has changed his leadership style from Pure Software and became more employee friendly in Netflix. He has become a democratic leader from an autocratic leader who was one termed as an ”Animal” by his employees. He has changed his communication to such an extent that employees are able to share their ideas with him and can expect a positive response. He gave them feedback in such a way that they are motivated to think new ideas to stay ahead of competition. He changed his personality and become open to experience. He took decisions based on his experience with new innovations at Netflix.
