Assessment Component 1 – INDIVIDUAL POSTER DISPLAY & PITCH

This is an individual assessment.

You are required to identify an idea for a new start-up business. This can be any type of business, selling any type of product and/or service; it does not have to be a unique or novel idea but it must be feasible for yourself (with your personal levels of knowledge, experience and financial resources) to start up the business immediately after graduation.

Assessment Component 1 – INDIVIDUAL POSTER DISPLAY & PITCH

You must develop and deliver a Poster [to be displayed A1 size: 594 x 841 mm electronically on ONE PowerPoint slide] and 3 minute verbal pitch of your business idea.

In the early weeks of the module you will be assisted in the ideation and opportunity recognition process as well as being assisted to adopt an effectual approach and develop skills related to pitching and poster presentations. There will also be opportunities within the module sessions to test out your idea on peers and receive formative feedback from the module tutor.

The Poster & Pitch will take place early in the timetabled module sessions (for specific dates, please see teaching and learning plan).
